Advancing Orthopaedic and Trauma Skills
The aim of
Manchester Trauma
is to advance Trauma and Orthopaedic skills through practical cadaveric courses, interactive workshops and online webinars.
The courses target audience include core trainees, speciality trainees, junior and senior fellows, non-training middle grades, SAS doctors and consultants.
Manchester Trauma also aims to improve AHP, nurses and scrub staff understanding of trauma and orthopaedic procedures through offering honorary observers’ placement on the course.
Manchester trauma teaching methods is tailored to the learners’ groups from teaching the standard approaches or techniques to more advanced approaches and exploration self-learning.
Our online material is centred around the Trauma and Orthopaedics curriculum.
A dedicated set of courses or webinars will help learners improve knowledge and practical skills.
The Faculty of Manchester Trauma are all experienced consultants in the area of each course speciality. We aim to maintain a very high faculty to delegate ration (1:2) to ensure maximum knowledge and experience learning.
Our courses are CPD credited by the Royal college of surgeons of Edinburgh.
This accreditation ensures the courses are delivered to high standard to meet CPD criteria.
Manchester trauma faculty learn from delegates feedback to make sure our courses are always improving. Our excellent feedback and very positive testimonials are a reflection of the continuing effect to make this course relevant and effective.
We have partnered with Orthocycle charity that recycles braces, medical appliances and other medical equipment. We also run projects to provide orthopaedic surgery in less developed countries and provide training to orthopaedic surgeons in the UK.
The charity collects used, unwanted and out of date equipment.
This can then be transported to hospitals in countries in-need.
Manchester Trauma donate some of the surplus proceed of the courses to Orthocycle.
Manchester trauma delivers high quality trauma and orthopaedic education to reginal, national and international surgeons.
