This one-day course will incorporate the development of surgical skills in a cadaveric workshop with clinical decision making in pelvic trauma, from arrival at the Emergency Department to emergency management in the hybrid theatre and definitive treatment.

Delegates will have the chance to learn the following procedures: Stoppa approach, Pubic symphysis plating, Acetabulum columns access and plating, pelvic approaches, anterior fixation, K-L approach and posterior fixation and more. They will have an understanding of the surgical anatomy related to the procedure, operative steps and the principles of how to perform the procedure safely. (See our program)

The faculty are all experienced pelvic surgeons, and the high faculty to participant ratio will ensure maximal hands-on experience

This one day course will incorporate the development of surgical skills in a cadaveric workshop with clinical decision making in lower limb trauma, from arrival at the Emergency Department to emergency management and definitive treatment.

In this course you will learn: trauma and orthopaedic approaches to proximal femur, mid femur, distal femur medial and lateral approaches, Knee approaches including posterior and posterior medial, fasciotomy, Tibia plateau approaches, distal tibia approaches. The fixation methods for each section will be also practiced including nailing, Plating of femur, tibia plateau, and distal femur, external fixation methods.

Learning will be tailored to learners group level. Trainees will have the opportunity to complete indexed PBA. Senior fellows and consultants will be guided to more advanced approaches.
